Director of Nursing -
must be team-oriented and work well with nurses, CNA's and CMA's
which comprise the nursing staff. Ultimately responsible for
the tender loving care of our precious residents, the individual in
this position reports directly to the facility administrator on a
daily basis.
MDS Coordinator -
requires an eye for detail, and an ability to work well with the
rest of the Medicalodge team. You will meet with residents and
facilitate their development as you assess their needs and keep
accurate records on the patient MDS. You will have
responsibility for coordinating the residents Care Plan Team.
We will be happy to train the right individual for the job, and if
you are detail-oriented registered nurse, this position is for you.
Charge Nurse -
needed for twelve hour shift, either 6 AM to 6 PM or 6 PM to 6 AM.
Either RN or LPN licensure is required. The Charge Nurse is
responsible for the care of 42 individuals, with the help of nurses
aids and medication aid. Adequate training will be given by
seasoned Medicalodge staff nurses with help of support staff.

Medicalodges Kinsley is an award-winning nursing
facility, tucked away on the west edge of Kinsley, Edwards County.
Most recently we have been the recipient of the Quality First Award
from the American Health Care Association. This nationwide
honor is credited to our constant push toward better ways to serve
our residents, and enhance their everyday environment. In 200
and 2007, we received the PEAK Award (promoting excellent
alternatives in Kansas) from the Kansas Department on Aging.
This honor is extended to only a handful of Kansas facilities which
strive to improve the home environment, the number of choices
available to residents on a day-to-day basis, the involvement of the
local community, and the level of staff empowerment within the
facility.
Our Activities Director has received the 2008
Activity Director of the Year Award from the Kansas Health Care
Association and in 2007, the Association awarded our Social Services
Director the Social Worker of the Year. Also in 2007, our
Administrator, Janel Burr was given the Administrator of the Year
Award by the Kansas Activities Directors Association. |
